"Strengthening childhood cancer care in low and middle income countries"
World Child Cancer improves diagnosis, treatment and support for children with cancer in low and middle income countries where survival rates can be as low as 20%. Founded in 2007, the organisation collaborates with local hospitals, ministries of health and communities across Africa, Asia and Central America to strengthen childhood cancer services throughout the care pathway. The work focuses on early diagnosis, access to treatment, child wellbeing and family support, and advocacy in national health systems. Over 51,000 children and families have been supported through programmes that train healthcare workers, improve hospital infrastructure and provide psychosocial support.

A world where geography no longer determines childhood cancer survival, where every child diagnosed with cancer has equal access to the best possible treatment and care, and where health systems are strengthened to deliver lasting outcomes.
At World Child Cancer, our mission is to improve diagnosis, treatment and support for children with cancer, and their families, in low and middle income countries around the world.
