Senior Software Engineer

Abtrace is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team in London. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the core software infrastructure that powers our clinical decision support tools. This is a pivotal role where you will influence the technical direction of our products and mentor junior members of the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, robust, and secure software solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers and data scientists to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Participate in code reviews and advocate for engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in software development with a focus on backend systems.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of database design and optimization.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
