About the Role
Alnylam is looking for a Medical Affairs Manager to join our team in Maidenhead. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between clinical development and commercial execution, ensuring that healthcare professionals have the scientific data needed to make informed treatment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the local medical affairs plan in alignment with regional strategy.
- Build and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare stakeholders.
- Provide scientific support to internal teams, including marketing and sales, to ensure clinical accuracy.
- Manage medical review of promotional and non-promotional materials in accordance with the ABPI Code of Practice.
- Support clinical trial activities and investigator-initiated research requests.
- Organize and lead medical advisory boards and educational symposia.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, or MD preferred).
- Proven experience within a Medical Affairs function in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of the UK healthcare environment and ABPI Code of Practice.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex scientific data.
- Ability to work independently in a remote-based setting while maintaining strong team collaboration.
