AI Project and Transformation Lead
THE POSITION
The AI Project & Transformation Lead is responsible for translating the Cardio‑Renal‑Metabolic (CRM) Franchise strategy into a clear, actionable AI capability roadmap by identifying key operational and commercial gaps and opportunities that require sourcing and deploying solutions (including third-party and internal capabilities). This role leads the end‑to‑end lifecycle of third‑party AI solutions - from vendor identification and due diligence through pilot execution to full deployment - ensuring each solution delivers measurable business impact and builds sustainable capabilities.
Location: Bracknell, UK (hybrid working – 2 days office / 3 days home).

THE POSITION
The AI Project & Transformation Lead is responsible for translating the Cardio‑Renal‑Metabolic (CRM) Franchise strategy into a clear, actionable AI capability roadmap by identifying key operational and commercial gaps and opportunities that require sourcing and deploying solutions (including third-party and internal capabilities). This role leads the end‑to‑end lifecycle of third‑party AI solutions - from vendor identification and due diligence through pilot execution to full deployment - ensuring each solution delivers measurable business impact and builds sustainable capabilities.
Location: Bracknell, UK (hybrid working – 2 days office / 3 days home).
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead end‑to‑end vendor lifecycle management, including identification, evaluation, selection, onboarding and performance monitoring.
- Conduct rigorous vendor due diligence, ensuring compliance with data privacy, cloud security, ABPI standards and internal governance policies.
- Design, implement and manage proof‑of‑concepts and pilot programmes for AI solutions, defining clear KPIs and success criteria.
- Analyse pilot outcomes and provide clear recommendations on scaling, iteration or discontinuation of solutions.
- Drive successful transition of pilots into full‑scale deployment, managing operational, technical and budget considerations.
- Lead change management and user adoption, ensuring new solutions are embedded into daily workflows across functions (including, but not limited to Sales, Medical, Market Access and Marketing).
- Work closely with IT, legal, data and enterprise architecture teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise systems and standards.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in programme or project management (typically 5+ years), ideally within pharmaceutical, healthcare or other regulated industries
- Strong experience managing external vendors and delivering projects from concept through to deployment
- Experience operating in highly regulated environments with a strong understanding of compliance requirements
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Exposure to AI‑driven initiatives or digital transformation projects is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of data privacy, cloud security and AI governance
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business solutions.
Education
- Degree in Business, Strategy or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Project management certifications (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile) are advantageous
