Permanent / Contract: PERMANENT
Salary range: £competitive (dependent on experience)
Full time/part time: Full Time / 37.5 hours per week

About The Cromwell Hospital
The Cromwell Hospital is a major international private hospital in West London providing care to both UK and international patients. We are committed to providing the highest quality healthcare outpatient and inpatient service care. The hospital has 180 beds and 4 suites, theatres, medical and surgical wards, cardiac centre, CDU, Urgent Care centre, level 2 and 3 full intensive care facilities, paediatrics, diagnostic services, physiotherapy, a dedicated day surgery unit, outpatients, pharmacy, and a new cath lab. We pride ourselves in having exceptional high professional high standards to ensure the best journey for our patients, therefore full-training and support will be provided to the right individual. You’ll be supporting and delivering high standard diagnostic imaging, and ideally you will have some recent proven experience working in a Cath Lab, and demonstrate a keen interest in a career in this clinical field.

About The Unit
Some of the procedures performed in our services include: Ablations, Coronary angiograms and angioplasties, Cardiac Devices insertion/removal, PFO closure, TAVI, EVAR, Prostate embolization, Fibroid embolization, Varicocele embolization, Lower limb angiogram/angioplasties, PTC, Cerebral angiogram and Cerebral aneurism embolization.

You’ll help us make health happen by:
As the Cath Lab Radiographer you’ll maintain a high standard of imaging and patient care in accordance with the departmental and hospital quality standards. Duties include and not limited to:
  • Maintain a high standard of imaging and patient care in accordance with the departmental and hospital quality standards.
  • Perform all types of IR, cardiac and neuro procedures as required by referring Physicians according to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate significant evidence of cardiac expertise and angiographic knowledge to meet with the expectations of the interventional consultants.
  • Ensure that a high-quality service is provided by monitoring standards for patient care, technical performance, and reporting.
  • Accurately analyse the acquired data, record results and produce high quality images for reporting.
  • Participate in a Quality Assurance programme for equipment, processing and Radiation Protection, maintaining accurate records and reporting problems to the Radiation Protection Supervisor.
  • Be prepared to train and work in both single plane and biplane Angiographic Studies.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
  • Angiography specific radiology qualification/certificate (desirable)
  • Relevant post-grad experience in an Angiography Lab (essential)
  • PAC’s Trained (essential)
  • BSc or DCR in Radiography (essential)
  • Registration with HCPC (essential)
