Job Overview
Are you an experienced Licensed Technician? Do you have a passion for Animal Welfare? Charles River Laboratories are looking to recruit for a Licensed Technician to assist in the day-day welfare and maintenance of colonies in line with strict regulations as set out by Charles River and the Home Office. You’ll be an experienced Technician already, ideally with a Home Office license.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the day-to-day welfare and maintenance of animal colonies.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with strict Home Office regulations and Charles River standards.
  • Performing licensed procedures as required by the project.
  • Maintaining accurate records of animal health and environmental conditions.
  • Supporting the discovery, development, and safe manufacture of new drug therapies.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Animal Technician or Licensed Technician.
  • Possession of a Home Office Personal License (PIL).
  • Strong commitment to animal welfare and ethical research standards.
  • Ability to work on-site in Potters Bar.
  • Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
