What will I be doing as an Dermatology Doctor?
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of dermatological conditions
- Utilise dermoscopy to examine and monitor skin lesions
- Perform minor surgical procedures including excisions of cysts, moles, skin tags, warts, and lipomas
- Educate and counsel patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventative skin care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and clinical documentation in line with GMC guidelines
To succeed in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Valid inclusion on the GMC Register.
- Registration: Medical Degree (MBBS/MBChB or equivalent) and be registered with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Have substantial experience in diagnosing and treating Dermatology conditions, within a Hospital setting.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Dermatological conditions as well as current evidence-based practice guidelines in Dermatology.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Display a compassionate and caring attitude towards patients, recognising the impact of Dermatological conditions on their quality of life.
- Exhibit strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess complex cases, interpret diagnostic results, and devise appropriate treatment plans.
- Good organisational skills and time keeping is vital.
