We have an opportunity for a Clinical Lead to join their team of staff in the Catheter Lab.
This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

We have an opportunity for a Clinical Lead to join their team of staff in the Catheter Lab.
This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
- You will play a pivotal part in the planning, co-ordination and delivery of the upcoming catheter lab refurbishment programme, ensuring that the redesigned service supports innovation, efficiency, patient safety and long-term service sustainability.
- You will be responsible for providing a strategic, clinical, operational and professional leadership across the entire Cardiac, Vascular and Hybrid environment.
- You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including Cardiology, Vascular surgery, Anaesthetics, Radiology, procurement, infection prevention and external partners to deliver a high-performing, future-ready service.
- You will lead the development, modernisation and future-proofing of the service to support the evolving needs of Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Vascular, Structural heart and surgical hybrid theatre procedures.
- You will maintain ongoing dialogue with Consultant Cardiologists/Radiologists on all clinical aspects of service delivery and support the Clinical services manager (CSM) in ensuring sessional use is maximised.
- You will support the CSM by attending meetings (minimum annual) with Cardiologists to discuss clinical and operational issues.
- You will conduct examinations as an autonomous practitioner and as part of a multi professional team in line with professional & departmental standards.
- You will be responsible for managing the rotas of all Catheter Lab staff across all disciplines.
- You will work with the CSM to ensure the Catheter Lab complies with all statutory regulations.
- You will comply with all relevant mandatory training.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Experience working in an acute hospital setting in a Senior Radiography, Senior Physiology or Senior Nurse post or equivalent.
- A Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography/ Cardiac Physiology/ Nursing
- A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience within a Cardiac Catheter lab.
- A wide background with expertise in Coronary angioplasty, TAVI procedures and PFO closures. Previous Vascular intervention is desirable.
- Aware of Catheter Lab Code of Conduct / Accountability.
- Minimum of 3 years Catheter Lab experience.
- Previous NHS Catheter Lab experience desirable.
