Job Type: Bank (as and when required)
Salary: Up to £29.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)
About the Role:
We have an opportunity for a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join their team of staff in the Pharmacy department. This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

About the Role:
We have an opportunity for a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join their team of staff in the Pharmacy department. Duties of this role include:
- Provide expert clinical pharmacy input as part of the multidisciplinary team, conducting medicines reconciliation, clinical screening, and therapeutic drug monitoring.
- Optimise medicines use through evidence-based interventions, ensuring the safe and effective management of long-term and acute conditions.
- Lead on implementation of medicines optimisation strategies, ensuring prescribing is cost-effective, safe, and aligned with national/local guidelines.
- Provide supervision, mentorship, and support to junior pharmacists, pre-registration trainees, and pharmacy technicians.
- Act as the lead pharmacist for designated specialties or clinical areas, working closely with consultants, nurses, and AHPs.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal frameworks including GPhC, CQC, MHRA, and controlled drugs legislation.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- GPhC-registered Pharmacist.
- Significant post-registration experience in clinical pharmacy, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong clinical knowledge and experience in medicines optimisation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff.
