Description
As the Global Production & Materials Demand Planner, you will provide the global demand forecast analysis, manage inventory and support the component availability for items manufactured across the Clinical Supply Chain network of sites.
The Global Production & Materials Demand Planner delivers the network capacity picture, assisting with analysis and scenario plans to ensure we are optimising our network effectively in a constantly evolving landscape.
This is a critical role to the delivery of clinical trial supplies to patients and offers an existing opportunity to drive change and improvements in process at an exciting time for CSC.

In this role you will
- Forecasting, purchasing and inventory management of packaging components to ensure on-time availability to enable completion of the global production schedules on time and in full. Execute site to site transfer of components when necessary
- Develop processes to align the forecasting of packaging components to the Packed Kit and Primary Pack forecasting processes using available tools
- Maintain an achievable load-balanced forecasts for all primary and secondary clinical packaging demand, highlighting where conflicts occur in a timely manner to allow for demand externalizing and owning any remedial activities
- Create and measure customer service performance metrics for Third Party Suppliers, ensuring timelines and commitments are met in full
- Lead Vendor complaints, approve Vendor root cause analysis (RCA) and Corrective action reports for the business.
- Engage and assess Vendor supplier capabilities. Resolve vendor and GSK Finance queries.
- Act as the Packaging Operations lead in the Network Capacity Review, Demand Review and Pre-Supply Chain Board forums
- Identify and own process improvement opportunities
Why you?
Basic Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Experience of supply chain planning and scheduling (rough cut and finite), with proven ability to present required data.
- Experience in inventory management including procurement, establishing optimal stock holding levels and dealing with invoice queries
- Experience of working directly with third parties
- Advanced MS Excel skills and experience in creating Power BI dashboards (highly advantageous), competent in MRP and forecasting systems. Familiar with other MS applications.
- Proven project Management Skills. Demonstrated ability to set and reach challenging goals, high standards of performance and ability to resolve difficulties.
- Previous experience with GSK planning/procurement systems.

- Strong GMP knowledge
- Ability to influence at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
- Collaborates with others and bridges personal, business and cultural differences to work effectively in team settings
- Experience of delivering Continuous Improvement projects and/or Lean Six Sigma (OE) tools in the business environment
