Kooth PLC are on a mission to use technology as a way to remove any barriers that could prevent someone accessing the mental health support that they need. At Kooth, we create a welcoming space for effective personalised digital mental health care. Kooth's products are available to over 18 million users in the US and UK, who are able to go online and access effective therapy and wellbeing support by speaking to qualified counsellors to manage their mental health in a safe and anonymous way.

Kooth is the longest-established digital mental health provider in the UK, but became the first digital mental health company to list on the London Stock Exchange in 2020, so now is a great time to join and help us support more people towards better mental health.

Role Objective
We are seeking an ambitious, part-qualified Finance Professional (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) to join our team in a pivotal hybrid role. This position serves as the bridge between core financial accounting and strategic commercial analysis. The successful candidate will take significant ownership of the month-end close while contributing to Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) workstreams. This is an ideal career step for a graduate with a strong academic record who is eager to transition into a role with tangible commercial impact and end-to-end process responsibility.

Responsibilities
  • Month-End Procedures: Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, board slide creation, key balance sheet reconciliations and the preparation of journal entries.
  • P&L Analysis: Investigating variances against budget and providing insights to budget owners and the senior finance team.
  • Business Partnering: Create relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders around the business to gather relevant information and ensure accurate financial data and analysis.
  • Capitalised Development costs: Maintaining the capex workbook, overseeing amortisation schedules and work with our Product and Engineering teams to ensure timecard accuracy.
  • Tax Compliance: Assisting with VAT returns and ensuring compliance with UK statutory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing efficiencies within the finance function, particularly around automation and reporting tools.
  • Audit Support: Providing documentation and explanations for year-end audit queries.

Requirements
  • Essential: Part Qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with a clear timeline for qualification.
  • Experience: experience in a finance environment (Professional Services or Fast-Growth sectors preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills (XLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, SumIfs) and experience with accounting software.
  • Attributes: A proactive "self-starter" with high attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with non-finance stakeholders.

Benefits
  • Competitive Salary: Up to £45,000 based on experience
  • Generous Annual Leave: Enjoy 28 days of annual leave, in addition to public holidays.
  • Professional Development: Full funding for exams, professional subscriptions, and leave to sit exams.
  • Financial Security: Pension contributions and annual company share option awards.
  • Health and Well-being: AXA Health Insurance and access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
  • Life Assurance: Up to four times your annual salary.
  • Flexible Working: Hybrid working model.
  • Lifestyle Benefits: Cycle to Work Scheme and Incapacity Income Protection.

We believe in equal opportunities for all, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity or expression or sexual orientation.
