About the Role
Our Future Health is looking for a Senior Application Security Engineer to join our Technology team. You will be responsible for ensuring the security of our applications and platforms, working closely with developers to build secure software from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of secure application architectures and coding practices.
• Conduct regular security assessments, including vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
• Integrate security tools and processes into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Provide expert guidance to engineering teams on mitigating security risks and fixing vulnerabilities.
• Develop and maintain security standards and documentation for application development.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents related to applications.

Requirements

• Proven experience in application security engineering or a similar role.
• Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10 and common web application vulnerabilities.
• Experience with security tools such as SAST, DAST, and IAST.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, particularly within AWS environments.
• Ability to code in languages such as Python, Go, or JavaScript.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
