About the Role
Pharmaron is seeking a Director of Business Development for our Radiochemistry and Metabolism Services (RLS) division. This is a senior commercial role focused on identifying and securing new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors across the UK and Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth by promoting Pharmaron’s world-class RLS capabilities, including custom synthesis, carbon-14 labeling, and ADME studies.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to expand Pharmaron’s market share in the RLS sector.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities with biotech and pharmaceutical clients.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact and lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams and subject matter experts to develop tailored solutions for clients.
- Represent Pharmaron at industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular reports to the senior leadership team.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven track record of success in business development within the CRO or life sciences industry.
- Strong technical understanding of radiochemistry, metabolism, or ADME services.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high levels of productivity.
- Willingness to travel frequently across the UK and Europe for client meetings and events.
- A degree in a relevant scientific discipline (Chemistry, Biology, or similar) is highly preferred.
