Field Service Engineer
SPT Labtech is a global leader in the design and development of innovative laboratory automation solutions for the life sciences industry. We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team, focusing on the installation, maintenance, and repair of our high-end instrumentation.

The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the face of the company at customer sites, ensuring our systems perform at the highest level. You will work closely with scientists and researchers to troubleshoot technical issues and provide training on system operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and calibration of laboratory automation equipment.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize system downtime.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues using diagnostic tools.
• Provide technical training and support to end-users to ensure optimal instrument performance.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation via the CRM system.
• Collaborate with the global support and engineering teams to resolve escalated technical challenges.

Requirements

• Strong background in electro-mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in field service, ideally within the life sciences, medical devices, or laboratory automation sectors.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems involving robotics, fluidics, and software interfaces.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
• Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites across the designated region.
• Full UK driving license is essential.
