Nursery Nurse (Part Time - Afternoons)
Location: Babraham, Cambridge
Salary: Starting salary for Level 3 qualified is between £19,248 and £20,011 per annum (£27,765 FTE to £28,866 FTE per annum) depending on experience (BI 9). Starting salary for Level 2 qualified is between £18,671 and £18,982 per annum (£26,933 FTE to £27,382 FTE per annum) depending on experience (B 10).
Hours: 26 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 12:30pm to 5:45pm (5:30pm on Fridays).
About the Role
The Babraham Nursery is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Nurse to join our team on a part-time basis. You will provide high-quality care and education for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for children.
- Act as a key person for a group of children, maintaining accurate observations and developmental records.
- Plan and implement activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents and carers.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times, adhering to safeguarding policies.
- Work collaboratively as part of a professional nursery team.
Requirements
- Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent).
- Previous experience working in an early years setting.
- A good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for supporting the development of young children.
