About Constructive Bio
Constructive Bio is a biotechnology company based in Cambridge, UK, focused on the development of synthetic biology and genome engineering technologies. We are building a platform to create new classes of enzymes, medicines, and materials by recoding entire genomes.

The Role
We are seeking motivated Research Technicians to join our R&D team. You will play a vital role in supporting our laboratory operations and contributing to the execution of experimental workflows across our synthetic biology programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine molecular biology techniques including DNA extraction, PCR, and cloning.
  • Assist in the preparation of media, buffers, and reagents for the wider research team.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
  • Support the execution of large-scale genomic experiments under the guidance of senior scientists.
  • Accurately document experimental procedures and results in electronic laboratory notebooks.
  • Manage laboratory inventory and order supplies as required.

Requirements
  • BSc or MSc in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related life sciences discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with basic molecular biology techniques in a laboratory setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
