Amicus Health is a locally owned NHS GP practice formed in 2017 when Clare House Surgery in Tiverton and Bampton Surgery joined together. It provides NHS primary care to more than 18,000 patients across both sites, with named GPs, general appointments, repeat prescriptions, online requests, wellbeing, physiotherapy, contraception, diabetes and joint-injection clinics, plus on-site surgical and dermatological services. By sharing resources and knowledge across its Tiverton and Bampton practices, the partnership helps keep care local and coordinated. Its approach combines local ownership with a broad clinic offering and a focus on high-quality care, patient safety, communication and a relaxed, welcoming environment.
