What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit - for example, your language preference or login state. Cookies are not programs and cannot carry viruses.
Some information is stored in your browser's localStorage rather than in cookies. This behaves similarly but is not transmitted with every request. We use localStorage for authentication tokens and role data.

Analytics
Anonymous, cookieless analytics (no consent needed). For every visitor, including those who reject cookies, we measure anonymous, aggregate usage with PostHog (EU region): no cookies, no device storage, your IP address is anonymised on collection, and we never track you across other websites. Because it stores nothing on your device and does not identify you, it relies on our legitimate interest in measuring and improving the service and needs no consent. You can object at any time by contacting us.
Analytics cookies (with your consent). If you accept analytics cookies, we additionally recognise you across visits and sessions (and may record anonymised session replays of public browsing) to better understand the candidate journey. Data is processed in the EU. See PostHog Privacy Policy.

For signed-in users we also measure product usage (pages and jobs viewed, applications, saves) under our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service. This does not set a tracking cookie, and you can object at any time by contacting us.

First-party analytics (no consent required)
Cloudflare Web Analytics collects anonymised, aggregated traffic data (page views, referrers, browser types) with no cookies or cross-site tracking. It is exempt from consent requirements under UK GDPR.
