Ashgate Hospice provides compassionate palliative and end of life care to people aged 18 and over living with cancer, neurological diseases, and end stage heart, kidney and lung conditions. The charity delivers specialist nursing, day services, a 12 bed inpatient unit, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, lymphoedema care, social work support, and bereavement services free of charge across North Derbyshire. The hospice serves people in their own homes, on the ward at Old Brampton, and through community based programmes. Every service focuses on helping people live as well as possible with a life limiting illness, supporting families and loved ones through the illness and after death, and educating the community about death, dying and bereavement.
