Bolton NHS Foundation Trust delivers hospital and community health services to 320,000 people across Bolton and Greater Manchester. Operating from Royal Bolton Hospital and over 20 health centres, the Trust provides urgent care, maternity, surgery, diagnostics, community nursing, and chronic disease management. As Greater Manchester's busiest ambulance site, Bolton manages high emergency volumes with comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care.
Established as a Foundation Trust in 2008, Bolton integrated community services in 2011 and operates through four clinical divisions. Over 6,000 staff deliver care across hospital wards, clinics, and patient homes, guided by a Council of Governors representing patients, staff, and the public.
