About Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust operates the main acute hospital for West Cheshire, Ellesmere Port, Neston and Deeside. With 473 beds, the Trust provides hospital services including 24 hour accident and emergency, maternity, cancer services, surgery, diagnostics and outpatient clinics, serving over 400,000 people with around 643,000 attendances annually.
The Trust delivers planned treatments across specialisms from elderly medicine to paediatrics, alongside therapies, pathology and rehabilitation. Working within the Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care System and with North Wales partners, it ensures coordinated patient care. As a Foundation Trust since 2004, it sets its own strategy for continuous improvement.
