About Darlington & District Hospice Movement
Darlington & District Hospice Movement (St Teresa’s Hospice) is a registered charity providing specialist palliative and end-of-life care for adults with life-limiting illness across Darlington, South Durham and North Yorkshire. Services include hospice at home, nurse-led inpatient care, the Woodlands Wellbeing Hub, lymphoedema care, complementary therapies, family support and bereavement care for patients, carers and loved ones.
Founded in 1986, the hospice offers core services free of charge, helping people live as comfortably as possible while supporting families through illness, death and bereavement. A multidisciplinary team delivers care, funded largely through local community fundraising, donations and seven charity shops.
