Dr Kershaw’s Hospice is an independent registered charity providing free specialist palliative and end-of-life care for adults with life-limiting illnesses in Oldham and surrounding areas. Its clinical team supports patients and loved ones through an Inpatient Unit, Wellbeing Centre, Hospice at Home service and Caring Hands domiciliary care, from diagnosis through end of life. By offering care in a peaceful, homely environment and supporting people in their preferred place—including at home—it helps relieve suffering, preserve dignity and avoid unnecessary hospital admissions. As less than a quarter of its funding comes from the Integrated Care System, fundraising, donations, legacies, shops and its lottery sustain vital local services.
