East Midlands Ambulance Service provides emergency 999 and urgent care for 4.9 million people across Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, and Nottinghamshire. The Trust responds to over 1.2 million calls each year, receiving a new emergency call every 25 seconds, and delivers care through a team of over 4,300 staff and 1,550 volunteers.
EMAS works in partnership with health and care organisations to ensure patients access the right service at the right time. The service provides emergency ambulance response, telephone clinical assessment, and non-emergency patient transport, combining frontline care with digital innovation and collaborative healthcare to support communities across the region.
