Headway London supports people affected by brain injury across 17 London boroughs. Every 90 seconds, someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury. The charity provides specialist support for over 800 survivors, families and carers each year through therapies, advocacy, casework and day services at their centre in Hackney.
The organisation works holistically, favouring creative and community-based approaches backed by specialist knowledge. Members engage with occupational projects including an art studio, music groups and a professional kitchen. Services are designed around individual needs and aspirations, helping survivors to be themselves, feel they belong and imagine new possibilities filled with creativity.
