Hospice of the Good Shepherd is a registered charity providing specialist palliative care for people with life-limiting illness, alongside support for their families and carers. Its services include a 10-bed inpatient unit with 24-hour care, free outpatient clinics and rehabilitation, and a Living Well service offering medical, nursing, counselling, bereavement, spiritual, complementary-therapy and carers’ support. Serving Cheshire West, Chester, Ellesmere Port and Deeside, it helps people manage symptoms, maintain quality of life and face illness or loss with dignity. The hospice opened in 1989 and combines multidisciplinary clinical care with emotional, social and spiritual support; its outpatient services are provided free of charge.
