Isle of Wight NHS Trust delivers acute hospital care and ambulance services to 140,000 island residents. Based at St Mary's Hospital in Newport with 266 beds, the Trust provides emergency care, planned surgery, intensive care, maternity and a complete ambulance service. Established in 2012 and working in partnership with Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, it serves as the island's integrated acute provider.
The Trust ensures islanders receive high quality care locally through emergency medicine, surgery, maternity, special care baby unit and paediatrics. Every service addresses the unique needs of an isolated island population, supported by partnerships that strengthen clinical and operational capability.
