About James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
The James Paget University Hospital provides acute hospital care to 250,000 residents across Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and surrounding areas of east Norfolk and north Suffolk. The hospital operates a 24/7 Emergency Department plus general acute and specialised services including maternity, paediatrics and neonatal care. With around 500 inpatient beds, it serves a growing population while maintaining strong community connections.
As an NHS Foundation Trust and university hospital, the James Paget trains medical students from the University of East Anglia with a strong reputation for research excellence. The hospital modernises patient care through new facilities and sustainable practices, generating over 50% of its electricity from solar.
