The James Paget University Hospital provides acute hospital care to 250,000 residents across Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and surrounding areas of east Norfolk and north Suffolk. The hospital operates a 24/7 Emergency Department plus general acute and specialised services including maternity, paediatrics and neonatal care. With around 500 inpatient beds, it serves a growing population while maintaining strong community connections. As an NHS Foundation Trust and university hospital, the James Paget trains medical students from the University of East Anglia with a strong reputation for research excellence. The hospital modernises patient care through new facilities and sustainable practices, generating over 50% of its electricity from solar.
