Defence Medical Services provides comprehensive healthcare to UK Armed Forces personnel across all three services. The organisation delivers primary care, mental health support, rehabilitation, dental services, and specialist medical treatment to approximately 138,100 regular forces personnel, while deploying medical teams to operational theatres worldwide. As a tri-service organisation within the Ministry of Defence, DMS integrates the Royal Navy Medical Service, Army Medical Services, and Royal Air Force Medical Service. Staffed by 11,100 military personnel and 2,600 civilians, the organisation promotes, protects, and restores the health of serving personnel through operational medicine, research, and partnerships with the NHS.
