Mountbatten Hampshire delivers specialist palliative and end of life care across Southampton and large parts of Hampshire, serving around 650,000 residents. The hospice operates a 21 bed inpatient unit and provides 24/7 expert care in people's own homes, alongside bereavement counselling, rehabilitation, and symptom management.
Founded in 1977 as one of England's first hospices, Mountbatten Hampshire supports over 3,000 patients and families every year. One third of funding comes from the NHS, with two thirds raised through community donations, fundraising events, charity shops, and legacies, making every contribution vital to sustaining free care.
