NEMS Community Benefit Services is a not for profit social enterprise delivering urgent primary healthcare to over one million patients across Nottinghamshire. When local GP surgeries are closed or emergency departments become overwhelmed, NEMS provides telephone clinical assessments, out of hours GP consultations, and streamed urgent care at hospital emergency departments. Founded in 1998 with over 350 healthcare professionals, NEMS fills a critical gap by ensuring patients access urgent medical care outside regular surgery hours. Working with NHS 111, local surgeries, and hospital trusts, the organisation delivers compassionate care when patients need it most while ensuring seamless information sharing with their registered GP.
