NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board runs the day to day operations of the NHS across its region. The ICB plans services, allocates funding and commissions healthcare for a population spanning urban Bristol and surrounding communities. It manages everything from GP practices to hospital care. The ICB tackles health inequalities by working with NHS trusts, local councils and care providers. It makes evidence based decisions about which services to fund and where to invest in prevention. By bringing together different parts of the system, it ensures people receive joined up support whether they need a routine appointment or complex long term care.
