About NHS North Of England Commissioning Support Unit
NECS is a customer-owned NHS commissioning support organisation providing strategic consultancy, managed services and digital applications to integrated care systems, hospitals and health organisations across the UK. The organisation combines specialist expertise with scale to support long-term transformation and everyday operational functions, enabling NHS leaders to concentrate on strategic priorities.
With nearly 2,000 people working across sites in Durham, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester and London, NECS diagnoses problems, designs solutions and delivers improvements. The organisation returns financial surplus to customer owners through the NECS Transformation Fund, having reinvested £44 million over ten years.
