NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board is the statutory NHS organisation that plans NHS-funded services across West Yorkshire. Working with NHS bodies, councils, voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, it agrees annual plans, decides how NHS money is spent and coordinates joined-up care for 2.4 million people across Bradford District and Craven, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield. Its collaborative, place-based model addresses gaps and inequalities that can arise when health and care are run separately. By devolving decisions to local partnerships while coordinating regional priorities, it works to improve health outcomes, reduce variation in care, support healthier communities and use public resources wisely.
