As an accredited cancer centre, the hospital delivers specialist cancer treatment to 880,000 people across Northamptonshire and parts of Buckinghamshire. The hospital is part of University Hospitals of Northamptonshire, working in partnership with Kettering General Hospital to deliver emergency and planned care, diagnostics and outpatient services. Northampton General is advancing regional provision in urological cancer surgery and laparoscopic colorectal surgery, and trains doctors, nurses, therapists, scientists and other clinical professionals.
