Nottinghamshire Hospice provides free palliative and end of life care to people whose illness cannot be cured. The hospice delivers care in homes across Nottinghamshire through its Hospice In Your Home service, offering support at times and places that might seem impossible. Every service is free because nobody should worry about paying during challenging times. Founded in 1980 by local people who believed everyone deserves dignity and choice at the end of life, the hospice now supports around 2,000 people each year. Care includes wellbeing services, counselling and emotional support for families, symptom management and 24 hour nursing. As a registered charity, it relies on fundraising, donations and community support for 75% of its income.
