Severn Hospice provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care free of charge to families living with incurable illness across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales. The hospice supports people through care at home, stays at their two sites in Shrewsbury and Telford, and community nursing services, ensuring individuals receive care that recognises their preferences during difficult times. Since 1989, Severn Hospice has cared for more than 50,000 people and their loved ones, now supporting around 3,000 local families each year. As an independent charity, the hospice relies on community generosity to fund two thirds of its costs through donations, fundraising, lottery, retail and gifts in wills, working alongside NHS grants.
