About Shropshire Doctors Co-operative Limited 'Shropdoc'
Shropdoc is a not for profit GP cooperative providing urgent primary care across Powys 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Established in 1996, it delivers out of hours NHS 111 services, urgent care centres, care coordination and specialist oncology and haematology support. The organisation brings together over 270 GP members with clinical and operational teams, reducing hospital pressure when regular surgeries close.
Patients access services through NHS 111 or referral. Shropdoc operates centres across Powys, most within hospitals, providing urgent same day coordination for GPs, ambulance crews and community clinicians. Keeping patients at the heart of everything, it fills the gap between routine general practice and emergency hospital care.
