South Tyneside Health Collaboration is a GP Federation owned by all 20 general practices across the borough. Founded in 2017, the organisation brings practices together to deliver primary care services at scale, reducing administrative burden whilst providing coordinated patient care. The team employs over 80 clinical and non-clinical staff across service delivery, practice management, Primary Care Network hosting, and corporate services.
The Federation delivers services including Covid-19 vaccination, enhanced mental health support, frailty and falls prevention, and Admiral Nurse dementia care. STHC enables member practices to remain sustainable whilst improving outcomes for over 100,000 registered patients across South Tyneside.
