South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust provides emergency 999 ambulance services across Bristol, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire. The Trust responds to over 1 million incidents annually from 92 ambulance stations and two Emergency Operations Centres, managing around 2,650 incidents daily for 5.5 million people.
The Trust employs nearly 6,000 clinical and operational staff including paramedics, emergency care assistants and advanced practitioners, supported by 950 volunteers. Clinical teams operate four air ambulance charities, two Hazardous Area Response Teams and a medical transport service, delivering patient care across one of England's most challenging regions.
