St Kentigern Hospice provides specialist palliative care to people with life-limiting illnesses across Denbighshire, West Flintshire and East Conwy. Founded in 1995, the hospice delivers free services through a 12 bed inpatient unit, Wellbeing Hwb outpatient services, dementia support and a family support team. The multidisciplinary team manages complex symptoms, provides respite and supports families through end of life care. Over 70 per cent of funding comes from community donations and local fundraising. Every year, St Kentigern Hospice cares for around 500 patients and their families, tailoring support to individual needs. The hospice operates as a registered charity supported by 90 staff and 355 volunteers across central North Wales.
