St Luke's is an independent charity caring for adults across Sheffield who have terminal illnesses such as cancer, COPD, Parkinson's, dementia or MND. The charity looks after over 1,800 patients each year, providing specialist palliative care through its Integrated Community Team and In Patient Centre. Founded in 1971, St Luke's receives only 23% of its running costs from the NHS and relies on Sheffield to raise over £11 million annually.
St Luke's tailors its approach to each person's wishes, helping them make the most of every day. The Wilkes Institute advances research and education in palliative and end of life care for patients and professionals across Sheffield and beyond.
