St Michael's Hospice delivers expert palliative care to adults with life limiting conditions across Herefordshire. Opened in 1984, the hospice provides compassionate support in its Inpatient Unit, Day Hospice, and through the Hospice at Home service. Patients receive specialist symptom relief and are treated as individuals, not diagnoses, while families access emotional and practical support. Deeply rooted in the local community, St Michael's operates as an independent charity. The care approach, known as the St Michael's Way, centres on knowledge, integrity, and respect, empowering patients and families to make informed decisions. With over 320 staff and 800 volunteers, the hospice supports more than 2,000 people each year.
