Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust serves east Surrey, north east West Sussex and South Croydon with emergency and planned care. The trust operates East Surrey Hospital in Redhill, a major acute site with over 700 beds, and provides outpatient services at Crawley, Horsham, Caterham Dene and Earlswood. Each year, nearly 5,000 babies are delivered, more than 100,000 patients attend the emergency department and over 400,000 outpatient appointments take place. With around 6,000 staff, the trust earned an Outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission in 2019 and the Health Service Journal Acute Trust of the Year award in 2021.
