Teesside Hospice provides specialist palliative and end of life care for people across Teesside living with terminal illnesses. Founded by local people in 1982, the hospice delivers care through an inpatient unit, wellbeing centre, outreach services, lymphoedema clinic and bereavement support. Every service is tailored to individual needs, looking after physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health at no cost to patients.
The hospice supports around 4,000 people each year. With just 30% of funding from statutory sources, the hospice relies on community donations to provide free care. The organisation is deeply embedded in Teesside and understands the lives, culture and needs of local families facing the most challenging times.
