William Henry Smith School & Sixth Form provides specialist residential education for children and young people aged 5 to 19 with complex social, emotional and mental health needs. All students have an Education, Health and Care Plan, with teaching delivered through small classes, high staff ratios and a multidisciplinary therapeutic team. Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, the school combines trauma-informed practice with personalised learning. The residential provision supports students to build independence, resilience and life skills. Every young person is understood, valued and equipped to make meaningful progress, growing in confidence as they prepare for the next stage of their lives.
