Job summary
Are you a Gynaecology Outpatient HCA with experience in post-anaesthetic or perioperative care, looking for additional weekend work? Here at 18 Week Support, we have an exciting opportunity to support a well-established NHS Trust in the Midlands area within a busy Outpatient Clinic.

Main duties of the job
Clinical Duties

• Record and monitor patient observations, including:
  • Blood pressure
  • Pulse
  • Temperature
  • Respiratory rate
  • Oxygen saturations
  • Height and weight
• Assist clinicians during outpatient procedures such as:
  • Colposcopy
  • Hysteroscopy
  • Endometrial biopsy
  • Cervical procedures
  • Coil (IUD/IUS) insertion and removal
• Prepare clinical areas and equipment before clinics.
• Clean and restock treatment rooms and clinical areas.
• Assist with specimen collection, labelling and transportation in line with policy.
• Report changes in patient condition to a registered nurse immediately.

Person Specification
Experience
Essential

• 2 years minimum experience within Outpatient setting
• Currently practicing or has practised within Gynaecology outpatients, for a minimum of 6 months, over the last 12-month period.
