Main duties of the jobKey Responsibilities- Deliver high standards of nursing care to patients within a General Surgery and Urology Surgery ward setting.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout the inpatient surgical pathway.
- Administer medications and treatments safely in line with NMC guidelines and local policies.
- Monitor and record patient observations, escalating clinical concerns appropriately.
- Support patients pre and post-operatively, ensuring safe and effective recovery care.
- Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- Provide compassionate, professional, and patient-centred care to all patients and relatives.

Job responsibilities18 Week Support has partnered with a specialised and dynamic NHS Trust in the Dorset region who are looking for experienced Theatres Ward Nurse to assist with their referral waiting lists.
Location: Dorset
Work Pattern: Saturday and Sunday
Shift hours: 8:00-18:00 (10 hour shifts)Duration: 3 months with the view to extend

Person SpecificationExperienceEssential- Minimum of >1 year working as an Theatres Ward Nurse within the NHS.
- Live within 50 miles of Dorset
Desirable- Live within 40 miles of Dorset
