The post is based at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust.
Fully registered with the General Dental Council with Personal Development Plan and CPD records.

Main duties of the job- Role model behaviours in accordance with the Trust Behavioural Framework.
- Ensure best possible dental nursing care and practice including those with complex medical, physical and emotional needs.
- Provide close support to dentistry, maintaining high standards of patient care and infection control.
- Learn new skills in line with new practices, qualifications and modernisation.

It is the primary objective of this post to contribute to patient care within the specialty of Paediatric Dentistry as a member of the multidisciplinary team.

Person SpecificationEducation & TrainingEssential- Must be registered with the General Dental Council as a Dental Care Professional.
- Registered Dental Nurse qualification or NVQ Level 3 in Oral Healthcare.
- Evidence of maintaining/updating relevant continued professional development with Personal development plan in accordance with enhanced CPD guidance.
Desirable- Any post qualification certificate(s) in any of the following: Radiology, Sedation, Orthodontics, Oral Health.
ExperienceEssential- Recent experience of working as part of a dental team.
Desirable- Experience of a hospital setting.
KnowledgeEssential- Interest in oral health promotion.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the NHS as it relates to dentistry.
SkillsEssential- Excellent interpersonal oral and written skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers and staff at all levels.
- Basic IT skills.

- Ability to work as part of a team.
