Clinical Lead Nurse
Wetherby Manor Wetherby

Location: Wetherby Manor Wetherby
Salary: £55000 per annum
Closing date: 16/11/2026

Ready to take the next step?
Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking for your next career move?
Would you like to combine hands-on clinical nursing with genuine leadership responsibility?

Wetherby Manor is looking for an experienced and motivated Clinical Lead who would act as a 2nd Deputy Manager to join our team on a 23 nursing bed ward and play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of our luxury care home.

Working closely with the Home Manager and wider leadership team, you will act as the 2nd Deputy Manager for the home, providing strong clinical leadership, supporting the nursing team and helping to ensure our residents receive the highest standards of care.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Care Home Nurse or NHS Nurse who is ready to take the next step into a senior leadership position.

What we offer
  • 8am–8pm shifts
  • Every other weekend off
  • Permanent contract
  • Senior clinical leadership role
  • Opportunity to develop your management and leadership experience
  • Supportive, professional working environment

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a confident, compassionate Registered Adult Nurse with a minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience.

We would particularly welcome applications from:
  • Experienced Care Home Nurses looking to progress into a senior leadership role.
  • NHS Nurses who want to bring their clinical expertise into a rewarding care home environment.
  • Senior Nurses, Clinical Leads or experienced nurses ready to take the next step towards management.
  • Nurses with experience caring for older people, dementia and/or complex clinical needs.

Your clinical experience matters
Ideally, you will have experience in some of the following areas:
  • Bowel irrigation
  • Catheter care
  • Venepuncture
  • Complex clinical care
  • Medication management
  • End-of-life care
  • Safeguarding
  • Clinical assessments and care planning

You don't necessarily need experience in every area — we're looking for a strong, experienced nurse with the right attitude, clinical confidence and willingness to develop.

If you're an experienced senior nurse who is ready to step up, lead a team and make a real difference, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

Join Wetherby Manor as our Clinical Lead /2nd Deputy Manager and take the next step in your nursing career!

Wetherby Manor offers the full spectrum of 24-hour residential and dementia care, assisted living and nursing care. Our home is included in the Knight Frank luxury care homes List 2021.
